{"id":24491,"date":"2023-03-21T09:40:10","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T09:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fxglobe.wpenginepowered.com\/where-to-next-for-gold\/"},"modified":"2026-03-18T11:22:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T11:22:35","slug":"where-to-next-for-gold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/ar\/where-to-next-for-gold\/","title":{"rendered":"Where To Next For Gold?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hi traders!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gold has had a great run lately, and as we all know, what goes up must come down (eventually).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a day-trader, I tend to monitor the 4-hour timeframe for clues about the Daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"655\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/21Mar2023_Gold_SpotH4-1024x655.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11024\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Each <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/navigating-day-trading-news-events-position-sizing-and-the-journey-to-mastery\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"31002\">trading day<\/a>, in London, usually has only three 4-hour candles, that\u2019s about 15 in a trading week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not normal for a trader to trade from 6am until 10pm; most traders will operate from either 6am to 5pm (day traders), or 4pm-12pm (for swing traders).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gold\u2019s chart shows price considering retracing lower temporarily as part of its larger uptrend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two recognisable levels of support &amp; resistance below price, both of which could feasibly attract Gold if it heads lower, in order to test one or both of those levels for support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, if a Fibonacci measurement is overlaid, then the 38.2% and 50% levels also overlap closely with these S\/R levels, adding to the idea that either level could provide a base if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/dispelling-urban-myths-is-gold-really-a-hedge-against-inflation\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"24480\">Gold<\/a> is to continue trending higher after a minor correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ll be watching these areas for bullish candlesticks and any other price action signals that are part of my trend-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/advisor\/investing\/gold-price-rising\/\">trading strategy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Happy Trading!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi traders!
