{"id":24494,"date":"2023-03-22T08:50:06","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T08:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fxglobe.wpenginepowered.com\/the-fed-and-the-fang\/"},"modified":"2023-07-01T19:43:31","modified_gmt":"2023-07-01T19:43:31","slug":"the-fed-and-the-fang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/ms\/the-fed-and-the-fang\/","title":{"rendered":"The FED and the FANG"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Good morning Traders!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fast pace cycle of interest rates hikes by the FED, has seen strong selloff in big tech over the past year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/markets-not-spooked-by-u-s-fed-rate-hike\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"24320\">Today\u2019s market<\/a> expectations, is for FED to hike the interest rate by another 0.25%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FANG Index<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/FANG-D-1024x459.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11240\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The FANG index has been in a downtrend on the Weekly chat over the past year, after reaching a low of around 4100 in November 22, the market found more buyers which were able to confirm a new uptrend on January 23. After a strong push to a new Higher High, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/major-currencies-5-common-myths-debunked\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"30709\">market has found Resistance<\/a> at around the 6000 level. And after a pullback to test the 5000 level from above, the market has made it\u2019s way up again, toward the 6000 area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/FANG-W-1024x456.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11245\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantafed.org\/research\/economists\/fang-lei\">market moved<\/a> higher fast from it\u2019s swing Higher Low, for a potential setup, I\u2019d like to see further compression of price underneath the 6000 area to allow for a potential tighter stop loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fxglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/FANG-M-1024x458.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11250\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However if the market will break the 6000 area without further compression, then I will be looking for a potential retracement setup, if and when the market will pullback to test this level from above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Happy Trading!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning Traders!
